Raccoon question???????????

have to do this 3 page report on raccoons and we have questions one of the questions is that if they kept in captivity but i cant find if there is a zoo that keeps raccoons or if its illegal to keep them either in a zoo or as a pet can some of you guys help me look this question is worth 40 points so i really don't want to screw p.s.ill give 10points for best answerRaccoon question???????????
Racoons can be found in zoos AND in peoples homes kept as pets. they are only aloud to be kept while they are cubs because eventually when they become adults they will begin to become very vicious like they would in the wild. My friend had a baby raccoon not too long ago but he only got to keep it for so long before it became to vicious to control. they are not supposed to be kept if you have other pets in the house becuase it could attack the other animals if its strong enough.





not many zoos have them because they can be found in forests or even back yards. but the ones that DO have them usually breed them so they can sell them as pets for pretty high prices.

I don't think its illegal if that helps. If it were illegal to have a raccoon, some people wouldn't be able to have previously wild rabbits. Though... I wouldn't want a pet raccoon :( It could have rabies..
